MERSEY RIVER CHALETS A NATURE RETREAT, Caledonia

Mersey River Chalets provides a range of accommodations: small chalets with one queen bed, two twin beds, and a pull-out couch; large chalets with one queen bed, two twin beds, and two pull-out couches; lodge rooms with two double beds. The Log House includes a three-bedroom main level and a one-bedroom loft. Each small chalet features a two-burner stove, fridge, microwave, and wood stove. Large chalets add a four-burner stove and propane BBQ. The Log House provides a full-size stove, oven, and Maple Tree trunk. Lodge rooms include a bar fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Some chalets feature roll-in showers.

Each room is equipped with the ability to prepare your own meals. The small chalets have a two burner counter top stove, a fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, water kettle, dishes, pots and pans. The large chalets provide a four burner counter top stove, a fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, water kettle, dishes, pots and pans. The Log House has a full size stove with oven, fridge, microwave, a coffeemaker, toaster, tea kettle as well as a basic set of dishes, utensils, pots and pans. The lodge rooms include a bar fridge, a microwave and a coffee maker as well as a set of basic dishes and utensils.

Mersey River Chalets offers activities for all seasons. Guests have access to canoes, kayaks, walking trails, basketball, and tennis. The resort is located in a designated Dark-Sky Preserve. Packages include stargazing and romantic getaways. Onsite events include weddings and workshops. The Cascades Gathering Room hosts up to 30 people and provides a fully-equipped kitchen.

Located in Wilderness Nova Scotia and nestled along the Mersey River & Harry Lake, Mersey River Chalets is situated in the Southwest Nova Biosphere Reserve. The resort is near Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site, and the Tobeatic Wilderness Area. It is a two-hour drive from Halifax and a short drive from the Digby ferry, Annapolis Royal, Liverpool, and Bridgewater.
